This suggested session outlines the key elements that might be included in a workshop designed to introduce practised users to further features within REfLECT. It aims to give an overview of the presentational functions within REfLECT, enabling users to display and share their CPD activity to not only IfL but potentially their own institution and other professional bodies that members are affiliated to.

| Introduction to REfLECT |
Navigating and being familiar with the home screen is important to the success of using REfLECT. Use this time to show the REfLECT interface and introduce the home screen and functions. |
| Uploading a File |
This building block shows how to upload single and multiple files into REfLECT which members can then use to support and evidence their CPD. |
| Activity Record |
For members, activity records are the core of recording individual CPD activities. Demonstrate the structure that is present within this record to highlight the process of successful CPD. |
| CPD Record |
Creating a CPD record allows you to collect all your CPD activities into one place and is the tool to submit your CPD activities to IfL if you are asked to do so. The CPD record will automatically total up any hours you have allocated to individual activities and will show any tags that have been added. |
| Tagging |
Tagging is vital in organising, finding and making synoptic links between assets and files you have in REfLECT. These tags can then be utilized by placing relevant assets within your CPD record. |
| Linking |
Having a website, file or asset linked to another existing asset allows you to bundle together useful pieces of information which all could contribute towards and illustrate a particular activity that you have undertaken. |
| Introduction / ice breaker |
Introduce and welcome to the session with a general discussion about the purpose of using REfLECT for recording CPD activities in different ways and how the value of using the advanced tools to share and display can add to the impact of the CPD. |
| Creating an Action Plan |
The action plan tool can be used for either a simple scenario or to plan a whole years CPD activity. The steps to success within the record permits you to attribute deadlines to individual steps adding up to a completion date; whilst the SWOT and resource sections allow you to ascertain what support you will need to successfully reach your goal. |
| Sharing and Commenting |
Peer collaboration is an important part of developing practice and establishing communities. The sharing and commenting tools enable this collaboration to take place between both REfLECT colleagues and non REfLECT users as needed. |
| Blog |
Blogs are a space to record thoughts and ideas as they arise and are useful for prompting further description and reflection when time permits. This building block shows how initial recordings can become more valuable with the addition of resources and links. |
| Webfolio |
Using the Webfolio tool to present your activity or work, allows the recipient access to a multi faceted asset which could possibly contain links to other assets, websites, email addresses and information tips. The multimedia element within this tool also allows a visual way of supporting and illustrating activities. |
Footnote: Screen breaks haven’t been included but it is recommended that breaks are taken approximately once every hour.
